Current Research

I am currently working on some Venetian libertine expressions, focusing in particular on the case of the Spiera brothers, who were involved in an inquisitorial trial between the 1620s and 1630s. At the same time, I am continuing my research on magical practices and demonic possession in the Republic of Venice between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.
